I live in urban Christchurch New Zealand. I placed order for my dressing gown Monday 13 May. It was delivered early afternoon Friday 17th May. All the way from Tasmania! It takes 10 business days for courier delivery Auckland to Christchurch, so Smitten has to be record fast! Not only that it comes superbly packaged in it own zippered keep bag.
I am more than pleased with my dressing gown. I ordered a size up from normal & it is a perfect fit. It's great quality merino. Now I'm ready for the 6 degree frosts we've been having.
I looked near & far for a merino dressing gown. Although NZ is a merino producer & we have award winning merino clothing brands, there is no merino dressing gown to be found here.
So my only regret is that I didn't find the Smitten option sooner. It's a family owned company & you can tell, by the attention to detail & the personal messages which arrive at each point of purchase process. What a great advertisement for Tasmania. I'd love to visit there some day.

I ordered this gown 21 hours ago, and I am already wearing it. That was the quickest delivery ever - from Hobart to Brisbane, I am in awe....
But the best part that the gown is so flattering, feels so nice, it's quite heavy but that's what gives that nice shape over the body. And the photos don't show the full beauty of the storm teal colour.
I am yet to feel how warm it keeps me, when it gets cooler in the evenings but I certainly feel like a star wearing it. Such a perfect gift for myself for mothers day :D.

I have just received my beautiful dressing gown in the deep sea green colour. The quality of the fabric is absolutely amazing, I love that it is light weight but super warm. I am a size 16 but the XL was sold out in this colour so I purchased the 2XL. I'm so pleased I did because it fits perfectly with great coverage and no risk of gaping. Already considering a second purchase. Well worth the money. I am officially smitten!

A few months ago the beautiful Pendleton wool robe my late sister gave me in 1993 sprang a hole in the elbow. I thought about buying a used Pendleton but then I found this. (If you’ve you’ve ever shopped much for a wool robe, you’ll know they’re as scarce as honesty in a Donald Trump speech. Pendleton no longer makes them.)

I vacillated a long time before taking the plunge, but I’m glad I did. It’s beautiful. Very flattering fit with a nice deep collar and unusually wide and substantial belt. Love the fabric. Well done, Smitten Merino. Thank God someone is still making wool robes.
